Amnesty: Kicking Butt and Taking Names

Matt Parrott - 7/4/2007

The American people pummeled the amnesty bill last week. The full weight of the executive office, the big business lobby, the hispanic lobby, the Republican leadership, the mainstream media, and even Fox News was orchestrated behind a historically unprecedented putsch. Never have the special interests been so visible and direct in the pursuit of their anti-American agenda. The saying goes "kicking butt and taking names". We just did the butt-kicking, but we also have to follow through by taking names.

The immigration "compromise" offered unconditional normalization of all of America's illegal immigrants. The alleged enforcement measures were transparently unenforceable. How can the Department of Homeland Security be trusted to thoroughly and effectively perform background checks on 15 million illegal immigrants within a few months? Even the logistical challenges of managing America's tranquil border with Canada have overwhelmed it. Nobody, not Chertoff, Bush, Kennedy, or McCain, believed for one minute that they were proposing some sort of legitimate compromise.

Not one of America's hundred Senators believed this was going to make the border more secure. That's why this immigration bill is so important. That's why we must never forgive or forget the seditious actions of the Republican Senators who supported this legislation. The Senators who drafted and supported this legislation did nothing short of attempting to abolish the electorate and elect a new one. They threatened our sovereignty, our national security, and our way of life.

There will be other issues on the table when the primaries come around. The candidates will hold varied positions on the Iraq War, on abortion, on the economy, and on a variety of very important issues. What we must bear in mind, though, is that none of those positions matter if the candidate also supports the replacement of American voters with illiterate foreign nationals who will vote solidly liberal and Democratic. A Senator who is tough on crime but offers American citizenship to 15 millions criminals, coyotes, and drug smugglers has nullified his position. A Senator who is tough on radical Islam but leaves America's back door wide open has nullified his position. A Senator who is pro-life but causes demographic changes that lead to the election of three more pro-choice Senators has nullified his position.

None of our American conservative values will survive if we offer our political opponents a massive demographic forfeit. Democracy is undermined when the government is empowered to change the electorate to suit its ambitions - and nobody stands to lose more than conservative Americans. If we offer citizenship and suffrage to foreign nationals who are strongly supportive of amnesty, open borders, and further immigration, we will become caught in a snowball effect. Americans could literally, within a few years, lose the demographic and political majority necessary to place American national interests first.

The mainstream media has portrayed the grassroot citizen's revolt as a setback for the Republican Party. They argue that since Hispanics are a rapidly growing section of the American population that defying their identity politics is suicidal. The contention that the Mexican invasion of America will continue to compromise our sovereignty should be viewed as a call to arms, not an opportunity for collusion. The American people would still rather die fighting for freedom than cooperate with a hostile invasion. Our representatives should respect and reflect that.

The Republican leadership is too corrupt and beholden to special interests to willingly reform itself. Our party can only be rescued with a coup, a grassroots purge of every Senator who conspired to compromise our sovereignty. We must take the names of those who supported amnesty and make political examples of them - destroying them in the primaries. We can win the general election with candidates who are sincerely committed to protecting our borders, increasing government transparency, and restoring fiscal discipline.
