The Orange Democratic Movement and The National Muslim Leaders Forum

This is the fifth of a series of articles on The Clash of Ideologies and Leftist/Marxist – Islamist Alliance.

On August 29, 2006 a Memorandum of Understanding between the Hon. Raila Odinga Representing the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and The National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF) was signed.

It likely won’t shock you to learn that Raila Odinga has now made a deal for support from the Soviets’ successors as world-champion enemies of the West and democratic freedoms: The Muslim fundamentalists.

Now are we starting to get an idea of what kind of individual Raila Odinga is?
Prior to the election, apparently a secret Memorandum between the ODM and NAMLEF was signed on August 29, 2007. Three months latter, Raila Odinga released a modified watered-down version.

The EAVANGELICAL ALLIANCE OF KENYA (EAK) has express grave concern regarding the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Hon. Raila Odinga, the ODM Presidential Candidate in the forthcoming General Election, and the National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF) on 29 August 2007, a version of which was released to the press on 27th November 2007. Questions remain as to which MoU is authentic. The Although NAMLEF might claim that the one they released on 27th November 2007 is the genuine one, we question why it took so long to make it public if its provisions were as uncontroversial as they are purported to be.

The MoU enjoins Odinga, upon election, to embrace NAMLEF and Muslims as his “partner of choice.” What does this term mean in plain English? Might the architects of the MoU have entered into certain secret commitments under this mysterious phrase? Why would the President of Kenya, whose first duty is to serve all Kenyans under the Constitution, be required to bestow on one faith community the status of “partner of choice”, whatever that means?

Secondly, Muslims shall support only Odinga. Significantly, NAMLEF chairman Sheikh Abdullahi Abdi clarified to reporters that any Muslim who supported President Kibaki would betray the Muslim cause and will be treated as “a traitor”. Don’t Muslims believe in the democratic principle of free choice?

The MoU posted pledges the support of Kenyan Muslims for Raila’s election. In return, as President of Kenya, Raila agrees to 14 actions, listed a) through n) on page two. Read them all, and be sure you’re sitting down. Here’s a sample:

b) Within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions.

c) With immediate effect dismiss the Commissioner of Police who has allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists to oppress the Kenyan Muslim community.

g) Within one year facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters. [Note: everywhere in Kenya, not just in “Muslim declared regions.”]

h) Popularize Islam, the only true religion, in the Coast and North Eastern Regions by ordering every primary school in Kenya in the regions to conduct daily Madrassa classes.

i) Impose a total ban on open-air gospel crusades by worshipers of the cross in the Coast and North Eastern regions.

j). Outlaw gospel programs (preaching, purported faith healing, etc.) on KBC, the National Broadcaster.

n) Impose an immediate ban on women’s public dressing styles that are considered immoral and offensive to the Muslim faith in the Muslim regions of the Costal and North Eastern Regions. This ban will apply to Muslims and non-Muslims alike, in these regions and will include all visitors whether domestic or foreign tourists.

The surprise in all this is Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a “close personal friendship” with Barrack Hussein Obama Junior. When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at rallies in Nairobi: Obama’s bias for his fellow Luo was so blatant that a Kenya government spokesman denounced Obama during his visit as Raila’s “stooge.” And further that in both MoUs, Hon. Raila himself comes across as a presumptive Muslim President, although he is a declared Anglican Christian, bent on forcing Islamic law, religion and culture down the throats of the Kenyan people in total disregard of the constitutionally guaranteed rights of freedom of worship and the equal protection of the law for all Kenyan.

The entire document is really quite an eye-opener, but the import of it is most chilling, considering the connections to Abdulkader Al Bakri and Mohammar Gaddafy. Add that in with suspicious assassins at hand and one really does start to wonder just what is up with Raila Odinga.
A Quick Recap on Raila Odinga

* Son of a former leader Oginga Odinga
* Utilizing a position of power to enrich his family business
* Utilizing a position of power to get contacts with a Saudi backer of al Qaeda
* Utilizing a position of power to get contacts with the Libyan leader Mohammar Gaddafy
* Utilizing a position of power to assure himself of petty luxuries, junkets and spending time with the rich and powerful across the globe
* Seeking to influence the constitutional drafting committee to ensure that the Prime Minister under the revised constitution will be more powerful than the President
* Feeling “owed” the Prime Minister’s position
* Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Muslim population (roughly 10% of Kenyan’s are Muslim) to shift Kenya towards Islam and becoming an Islamic state.
* And close association with US Senator Barack Obama

So, to sum it up: Mr. Odinga feels ‘entitled’ to be Prime Minister of Kenya so as to turn it into a Sharia law following Islamic State.
