Rembrandt, Mozart, and Shakespeare, among many, many others are such leaders, but the West today lacks real artists. In the postmodern West, degenerate “artists” have embarked on a campaign to pervert the definition of art, and this perversion of modern-day Western art has put Western culture in jeopardy.
In the contemporary West, music has become bastardized to include perversion. Degenerate rap “music” and Brittany Spears prancing around on stage dressed in clothes unfit for a whore comes to mind of what passes for music today.
Unfortunately, music is not the only form of art that has been perverted in recent years. At the San Francisco Art Institute, according to an article entitled “Public Sex—Really Sick Public Sex—for Class Credit” on the Accuracy in Academia website, a 24-year-old student engaged in public homosexual oral sex for a class project. According to “artist” Jonathan Yegge:
“I engaged in oral sex with him and he engaged in oral sex with me. I had given him an enema, and I had taken a s*** and stuffed it in his a**. That goes on, he s***s all over me, I s*** in him. There was a security guard present. There was an instructor from the school present. It was videoed, and the piece was over.”
In 1999, “artist” Chris Ofili’s “The Holy Virgin Mary” was on display at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. His alleged masterpiece was of the Virgin Mary—presented as an African—covered in elephant dung, and surrounded by female genitalia.
One of the vilest degenerate “artists” of today is Andres Serrano. In one of his more infamous works of “art”—called “Piss Christ”—he has pictured in a container of his own urine a crucified Jesus. This was condemned by normal Westerners, but it was the winner of the “Awards in the Visual Arts” competition that that Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art hosted. The National Endowments of the Arts, which is financed by the American taxpayer, awarded Serrano $15,000 for his degenerate “art.”
Serrano has a history of committing sacrilege. In 1989, he submerged a figurine of the Virgin Mary and Jesus in a container of urine, and took a picture of it. For the life of me, I cannot understand why anyone would consider Serrano to be an artist. He is nothing more than a freak.
In 2007, some of Serrano’s other works of “art” went on display in an art gallery in Lund, Sweden. This time, Serrano’s “art” included a picture of a woman fondling the genitalia of a horse, a picture of a woman with her fist up a man’s anus, a picture of interracial homosexual acts, and a picture of a man performing oral sex on himself. Some may call this “progressive.” I believe it to be backwards and sick.
According to an article published in the International Herald Tribune entitled “Vandals Attack Serrano Photo Exhibit in Sweden” (10/9/2007), four defenders of Western culture yelled “We don’t support this!” as they ran into the art gallery, and as alarms blared, smashed the “art” with crowbars, axes, and hammers. After destroying what the article claims to be $200,000 worth of art, the Westerners left fliers behind that read “Against decadence and for a healthier culture.”
The incident in Lund was not the first time Westerners stood up to Serrano’s degenerate “art.” When a print of Serrano’s “Piss Christ” was on display at the National Gallery of Art in Melbourne, Australia, in 1997, a culture warrior successfully attacked and destroyed it.
If Western culture is to survive in the future, those who are waging war on it must be combated. The disease of degenerate art must be cured. I believe that in time traditional cultural values—backed by Westerners who take pride in their heritage, culture, and civilization—will destroy the scourge that threatens the West today.
Kyle Bristow was until recently the chairman of Young Americans for Freedom chapter of Michigan State University, which had become famous due to its lively and controversial meetings under his leadership.
