Iranian version of Shiism portrayed Ali as the Creator of Universe

Reza Hossein Borr - 7/29/2008

Two separate videos that were recently published showed how the Iranian version of Shiism has been diverted from the Islamic principles. One of them depicted Ali, the fourth Caliph, as the creator of the universe and skies and the giver of food to humanity. The second video portrayed Fatema, the daughter of the prophet, as Al Rahman wa Al Rahim, (2 names of God) and the owner of Day of Judgement.

( Maalik youm al deen). While Holy Quran says that the owners of the Day of Judgment is only Allah. These videos show two singers who follow the Rap model of American singing style. Both of them sing some poetry in the praise of Ali and his descendants in Farsi. There are a lot of people in audience which show a kind of mass intoxication. See the videos here:

This kind of exaggeration about the status of Ali and his descendants are obviously against all principles of Islam. Islam believes that Allah is the creator of universe and the giver of life and food. Islam also believes that it is only Allah who is Al Rahman and Al Rahim in the sense that has been narrated in the video. In fact all Muslims must begin their talks and action by reciting the most important verse: Besmellahe Al Rahman Al Rahim ( In the name of Allah, the Companionate and the Merciful). Obviously these kinds of expressions can irritate everybody. Ali, Fatema and their children were ordinary people who had the privilege of being part of the family of the prophet. Ali was killed by an ordinary person. His daughter died also like an ordinary person. There is no anything out of ordinary in both of them.

These are such behaviours that have caused immense problems for the Shias through out the history of Islam. Their utterances and behaviours of such kind have made them legitimate and legal targets of other Muslims in all Islamic countries. It was this kind of behaviours that isolated them everywhere in the Islamic world. When the Shias took over the power in Iran they massacred thousands of people as they were not ready to abandoned Sunnism and convert to Shiism. The Iranian great historian, kasrawi wrote that 20 thousand people were killed in Tabriz, capital of Azerbayjan, as the Sunnis refused to become Shia. The urgent pressure for converting the Sunni Muslim of Iran into Shia resulted in the disintegration of Iran as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Gherghizistan, and all parts of Central Asia seceded from Iran. About three million sq m of Iranians soil seceded from Iran as the residents of these places were not prepared to abandon Sunnis in and convert to Siism.

Now the wave of Shia extremism has returned to Iran again wit a great sense of revenge. But things are different now. Mass communication has made it possible for every person to learn about whatever goes on in any corner of the world. As mass communication becomes more accessible, the beliefs of people become more widespread and consolidated as Talibanism proved quite clearly. These videos have already been distributed by the producers of these ceremonies among all the Shia communities. The problem is that the Shias believe that the other people believe in the same thing that they believe and therefore, they cannot distinguish that their beliefs are in contrast with the beliefs of other Moslems and therefore, whenever they display their actions, they offend the Sunnis. The Islamic Republic of Iran has changed the principle of Islam completely. "The Shiism of the Iranians is very different from our Shiism," said Musa Shammar who is an Iraqi Shia."They have made it anti-Sunni." he added.

The worst thing is that Iran is spreading this version of Shiism through out the world. The Iranian officials announced that were 20 thousand foreign religious students in Iran who go back to their homes with what they learn in Shia theological schools of Iran. When these graduates return to their homes, they preach the same hostile principles, and suddenly face the public outrage. In certain occasions there have been fatal clashes between the Iranian inspired Shia communities in Pakistan and Afghanistan and other Sunni countries. The result has been the killings of many people from both sides. But since the Shias are in minority, obviously they are the losing side. Few graduates of theological schools of Iran returned recently to tribal parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan. They preached the diverted form of Shiism in their area which was conducive to fatal clashes between them and the traditional Sunnis. These graduates from Iran provoked the Sunnis and made the Sunnis believe that the Shias were infidels. Obviously what they say is completely in contrast with officially accepted and recognised principles of Islam. Saying that Ali is the creator of the universe is blasphemous in all religions.

The Iranian regime places the Shia communities in the Islamic countries in very difficult and hostile situations with the distortion of Islamic principles and production of such videos. When they follow the Iranian inspired teachings of shiism in their countries, they clearly offend the Islamic principles and therefore confrontation follows. Consequently the losers have been the Shia communities in all countries that Shias are in minority. The Islamic Republic of Iran must realise the security and interests of the Shia communities in other countries. Training 20 thousand Shia fanatics every year in Iran and sending them back to their homelands with new revolutionaries’ furores and spirits will create real trouble for the Shias everywhere. They will become more isolated. They will be more suppressed and they would be more discriminated against.

The Shias are in majority only in three countries: Iran, Iraq and Azerbaijan. In all other countries they are a minority. In the entire history of Islam they have been treated very badly as a group of people who have allegedly betrayed the main principles of Islam. There are one billion 2 hundred million Muslims in the world. Only about 130 million of them are Shias. They had different opportunities in the region to form governments time to time and each time they killed so many people that they were overthrown in a short period of time. There are excellent in attracting sympathy but once they are in power they act as extremists. It is their extremism that provokes antagonism and their downfall. Dr Esmail Noori Ala, a scholar on Islamic studies and the author of several books and many articles on Islam believes that the Sunnis are much more tolerant than the Shias.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is responsible for every Moslem that is killed in a fight with another Moslem. The Islamic Republic of Iran is responsible for sectarian bloodshed in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Algeria, Somalia, Tajikistan and many other countries. The Islamic regime is endangering the lives and interests of many Shias in different parts of the world. Although Iran has been able to give a new spirit of boldness and courage to the Shias in Lebanon and Iraq, it has portrayed the Shias as a revengeful and hateful people. Creating hatred among Shias and Sunnis will eventually turn ugly and many people will be killed. The Shia communities of the Islamic world must realise the danger that the graduates of Iranian theological schools bring into their countries. Twenty thousand theological students are trained every year and sent to different countries to preach the new version of Iranian Shiism in the Islamic countries. These new preachers will create a lot of hostility that will end in the death of innocent people. As the hostility between the Shias and Sunnis accelerates and expands, the Shia communities will be more isolated and more suppressed. This is a disaster the Islamic Republic of Iran is bringing on the Shias in different parts of the world.
