Its easy to come down on her for her couple of bad interviews or for her English grammar errors or her former ignorance of international and national politics and …oh, is that all?
But there is no denying her meteoric rise from hockey mom to the Republican VP nominee on her own merit and track record, in little over 15 years all while giving birth to and raising five children and helping her husband on his commercial fishing boat.
And there is no denying that few people would have had the guts to give up the Governorship last summer and go for broke. Who does that? Sarah does.
And there is no denying her great success since in writing a best seller which in six months has sold over 2.5 million copies, in becoming the leader of the opposition to current government policies, in becoming the most sought after speaker at astronomical speaker fees, in becoming a Fox News commentator, in becoming the most sought after guest for talk shows because of what her appearance does for ratings, in becoming the most sought after endorsement for politicians running for office, in being hotly pursued as a speaker for a variety of charity events all the while being mercilessly attacked for all manner of ridiculous charges, trumped up, or otherwise.
And she is not done yet. She has started writing a second book and is soon to get a major studio to produce a series of documentaries on her beloved home state of Alaska.
Name me one woman, who went to an Ivy League School or otherwise, with a PhD or otherwise who can hold a candle to such accomplishments. Sarah is one of a kind.
But back to the ridiculous charges. It is not just that they hate her, fear hear, envy her, resent her and/or reject her Christian values. Something else is at play.
When George Bush was President, the Left attacked him constantly in a variety of ways including the use of chants such as “Bush lied, people died.” Although the attacks on him came nowhere near the current attacks on Palin, they succeeded in wearing down his administration and paving the way for Democratic victories. Pres Obama’s campaign strategy was all about capitalizing on this denigration. Bush became the source of all evil and incompetence.
Sarah Palin is being attacked now for the same reason. The attacks go way beyond a simple expression of a feeling or an opinion. They are part of a strategy to build up in the minds of the people that she is all manner of bad things and certainly, not fit for the office of President. It doesn’t matter whether the attacks are baseless or frivolous. What matters is that there are more negative articles written about her than articles of praise and support. Its a numbers game.
The left can’t afford to be passive. They must go all out, everyday, to besmirch her name, with lies if necessary, otherwise she will begin to fly.
